Used Car Salesperson The used-vehicle salesperson is responsible for selling used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards. This position includes four broad areas of activity: personal work habits, prospecting, selling and follow-up. We ask that all applicants have a positive attitude, goal oriented, be professional, and have some experience in direct sales. Duties and Responsibilities: • Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction of customers. • Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devise a strategy to meet those goals. • Report to the Used-vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses. Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening. • Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers. • Demonstrate used vehicles (includes test drives). • Deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty. • Work with the service department and body shop to ensure that vehicles are reconditioned as expected and on schedule. • Attend sales meetings. • Maintain a prospect development system which includes a group of prospect locators and sales associates. • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively. • Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product. • Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer. • Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales. • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department. • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor. • We offer Medical, Dental, 401K Qualifications: • High school diploma or the equivalent. • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. • Valid in-state driver’s license. • Professional personal appearance. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards. • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. • All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, valid driver license, and valid California state Sales license Call (310) 622-9334 or email us anytime for an interview, ask for Jake. |

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Coordinates financial transactions between sales associates, sales managers, guests and lenders. o Secure all necessary documents for each transaction – finance contract, title application, insurance verifications, warranty and insurance forms, etc. o Conduct all transactions in a professional, ethical, and honest manner while exhibiting an aggressive, enthusiastic attitude. o Be up to date with all red Flag Procedures and Policies. o Instruct salesmen on proper turnover and interaction with the finance department on an on-going basis. o Maintain positive lender relationships and networks. o Communicate necessary paperwork to all lenders to obtain credit approval as quickly as possible. o Communicate all callbacks to Salespeople and Sales Managers immediately. o Monitor the computer system to ensure updated and accurate information. o Maintain daily sales log of all products sold by vehicle type and F & I income source. o Review problem deals with General Sales Manager/General Manager daily – correct all administrative problems ASAP. o Resolve monthly discrepancies between dealer computed reserves and finance source computed reserves as reported on the financial statement.
Required Experience: Ideal candidate will have: o Computer literacy. o Financial sales skills. o Prior experience in automotive retail sales and/or Financial Services. (GM Preferred) o Two to three years automotive finance, banking, mortgage or retail credit experience. o Working knowledge of credit process/bureaus. o Strong organizational skills o Strong understanding of Reynolds and Reynolds Dealer Tools. o Registered Notary if possible.
